A renovation of one of the most historic buildings at Gallaudet University. Across from the University President’s Office, regular office, and storage rooms were transformed into a private suite for the University Provost Office. The work included new finishes throughout along with a custom millwork and glass storefront to partition the space from the building’s public areas. On the other side of the floor, more offices were renovated with installation of a new conference room for the President’s Office. The conference room, with new custom millwork double-style door and transom entrance contains a custom millwork table which is integrated with a state-of-the-art video conferencing system that allows occupants to activate cameras with push-to-sign buttons for effective teleconferencing.
This project also included a renovation on the 4th Floor for the Office of Academic Quality which includes relocation of existing historical millwork doors and frames as well as a new custom glass and millwork storefront.
